Damn! Is it just me, or do none of the links work any longer in the guide at the start of this thread. I know it's an old thread, but is it anywhere else in the forum, or has anyone downloaded a copy they could email me? Cheers

Thank you to teach me so many acknowledges, thanks very much.

I stumbled on DubSteve's guide (page/post 33/654) via a google search and have to admit I haven't read all 1500+ posts in the thread, but I do have a couple of questions.

  1. Though this thread is in the Leon Mk1 forum, will the 'door carrier sealant fix' apply equally well to a Toledo Mk2? (Water in both the front and rear driver side footwell.)

  2. Where would the water otherwise exit, if it wasn't escaping via the door panel/carrier/trim into the footwell?

Thanks.

lol thought it was soon as i read it

should be holes under the door, under the rubber just if the seal on the door is broken it will come past that and sit on the plastic cill and drain into the car, superb design ;)

Just ordered all the things needed off ebay gonna be a fun weekend fixing all the sealent and pollen filter, was wondering why my windows would mist up soooooo bad then i dropped my phone on the driverside footwell floor and found out why.....

Do the electrical box aswel, you'll only regret it later, and back to square 1 with wet drivers floor do the bonnet cable area too

Half a dozen or so per door. If your firm but gentle taking it a small amount at a time you boulder break any. I done my driver door without breakages but get a pack of 10 for a few quid on standby.

Stage 2 mk1 LCR amd tuned 294bhp

Where can I get these parts from except ebay as I've been so rushed forgot to order them and need them for weekend as need to get done ASAP

You could always order from amazon or somewhere but pay extra for next day delivery. You can probably buy anywhere and get quickly if prepared to spend the money. Other than that could be worth trying b&q screwfix toolstation etc
