for ppl that may care to know... seli and i were in the back of scotts car (oooo er!) a couple of weeks ago and i must say they were very nice.

but imo i wouldnt have them in my LCR for 3 reasons...

a.) not worth the money
b.) the unlucky person who sits in the middle of the rear seats will have less room and will not be comfortable and i cannot see the bolsters being happy with an adult sat on them!
c.) why make having sex in the car harder?! [B)]

I have to say:

a: I agree which is why i didnt get the recaros new with my car (it was £1200 just for the fronts when a few months before you could get the rears as well for that price) Got mine for nowt!

b: Technically you cant have anyone in the middle as the cars a four seater (you get a letter from seat with the car warning you of this). If you have a arm rest it makes it even worse

c; I cant get in the bloody back anyway so bonnet for me every time

I think its quality rather than being "different". My 2001 seats (golf GTI's) seem to be in as good nick as some ive seen from 2004 LCR's

I do find that the seat functions seem of a higher quality on the golf stuff - everything just feels better put together. I also quite like the black and red combo and the fact i'm not trying to look like a fake LCR :)

Are you talking about with the rear recaro's or as a normal car? Just checking as the car is listed as a 5 seater and they wouldn't put a centre shoulder strap seat belt in the car if it was only a four seater.

The differences between recaro and standard are not enough to cover the £750 extra price tag..... :)

I disagree, the Recaro's are much firmer and after a couple of years and 70k miles you can tell the difference compared to the standard seats of a similar age/mileage car.

Each to their own though.

As you say each to their own just think £1200 is better spent snowboarding for 2 weeks in the US. :)

im going to be a bit different and say i love the full leather in my Leon Cupra. i had an Rx8 with full "leather" before the leon and the leather in that car was CRAP!

the optional LCR recaros are very nice though.
