They make a dyson noise if the rivets holding the two halfs together fail. You can either replace the rivets for nuts and bolts or delete the SAI from the car.

Yep, my friends one started blowing on his car so he drilled and rebolted it together.

I haven't got the dyson noise, it's more of a squiffy fan / clicking noise so will just pull the fuse it see if it is that or something else!

Registered the vehicle for UK roads (EU Import) and as such, apart from needing to change the clocks I also had to change the headlights for the cut-off to be on the correct side.

I could have bought OEM or aftermarket headlights but that is waaaaaaay to easy for me.... lol, so what I did was buy Bi-Xenon projector beams...

So all that I had to do was to remove bumper to take headlights out:

Remove plastic front of headlights to install the projectors:

Put plastic cover back on:

And then put everything back together:

The look is nearly OEM... and personally I think the look greeeeat!! :funk:

Gave the lcr a light paint detailing. Used a swirl finding torch to find the swirly bast***ds. Happy with the finish right up to the point where i found a small patch of lacquer peel above the drivers rear door on the roof line.

Drove it to work - finally getting to show of my freshly painted wheels..

Trying to go along with the OEM look and keep it tasty but subtle... anyone know where I could get myself a honeycombe grill that fits front top centre WITHOUT the Seat badge?

There was a DIY guide for doing just that somewhere not sure if it was on this forum or a Spanish one.

People do a DIY job because I believe there is no honeycomb de-badge grill...

I have been trying to find it but to no avail... although I did find something to de-badge the front grille of a Golf GTi which uses much the same process.

Here is the link:

If I find the other one, I will post it here.

Productive day today!

Change front top mounts and bearings.

Cleaned and greased front callipers.

Fitted new low and main beam Osram Nightbreakers.

New K&N filter and drilled a couple of small holes on the airbox.

Fitted new Pioneer AVH-X9600bt headunit, just need to sort out speakers.

Think that's it... Might go for a drive!

Serviced it, washed it, found out that the boot lock isn't working.
Stripped the boot lock out and the actuator motor is dead, need to find a new one!
