Bought another inlet manifold - that hasn't been "repaired" by bolts threaded into the vacuum ports (nipples broken apparently) - have started to paint it red as well.

What did you decide on the rear suspension in the end?

At the moment it's going to have custom built gaz holds on the rear with damping and rebound adjustability as well as adjustable night platform. But never know may get it build and run it for a bit but then go over to making the coil overs fit. Or might see if I can make up some sort of canter leaves style set up like I have on my saxo

That's what I'm going to do next year, I've stripped a Leon before but never put the stuff back in, was it an easy swap? Or regret it 5mins in?

I know theres been alot of threads about door seals recently but can anyone give me a link or good guide?? Also whats the best way to seal the rear light clusters. Unrelated but also Had to refit the offside dynamic side repeater as it wasnt connected properly. Figures lol

Have you had any work done to the crank. I have read that people use the tfsi crank... why use it instead if the 1.8t cranks.

crank is cleaned and balanced. tfsi crank is forged and is used to stroke the engine to 2L.

Did you get it balanced with the flywheel and front pulley on it too. As they can throw it out of balance. Also weigh your rods. Make them all the same

dont think so, i bought the engine like this from a engine rebuilder. rods are balanced too but i will weigh the rods and pistons.
