Im curious as to why you chose to mask the centre console and sill trims instead of removing them when it takes a few minutes to do?

The sill trims are abit precarious since I fitted the Cupra r headlining, so I though tape would be my best bet personally

Took my car along to a local car show.
It’s a turn up at the gate event so I thought I’d see what the gate marshal’s reaction would be when I joined the queue to get into the show ground in a mk1 Leon.
Got a nod of approval and parked next to a 1928 Chrysler tourer.
Had a few people stop by for a chat and photos and lots of positive comments.

I have one of these mate, just use the original heatshield / wrap fixings on the rocker cover although I used window regulator panel bolts on mine.
And the charge pipe clamp mounting bolts hold the other end.

Ah cheers, when I looked on the website it said it came with fixings. Hate taking things off and finding out I need more bits!

Well kind off went for my 1st drive, 1st stop fuel station cried from the start to the end, then went to book car in for timing belt, then went to get tracking sorted but one track rod end was solid, so now new track rod ends needed oh well, expensive 7 miles ?

Had fun with a cyclist who felt the entire road was for his leisurely ride. He had plenty of room to pass me, but he still had to be an arsehole. He got smiles from me, along with my offensive music. Just love peddlers

can confirm when thai transplanted my bonnet, piece of cake

Getting it aligned again has been my biggest problem - it looks fine, but I can see at the grille where the SEAT badge is, it overhangs a little more on one side. I'm thinking at the moment that maybe loosening the bolts and then shutting the bonnet might shift it into position, or it could just be a matter of adjusting it a little bit, closing the bonnet, trying again, adjusting it...

If anyone has any tips, that would be amazing...

The bonnet itself looks a bit sad at the moment - with such a large surface area, the amount of orange peel is pretty bad, but I have a feeling it won't look quite as rough after a wet sand and polish. There are a few things about painting that still don't make sense - like how it can look really different from different angles - perfect from one angle, but really obvious lap marks from another angle, but I'll hold back from being really critical until I've polished it.

A few photos for illustration... Looking at it under the light, I think a few of the lap marks are in the clear, so if that can be polished out, it's going to look pretty good in the end, for a rattle can job...

Bonnet alignment first...

The hard bit here is if I adjust the right side to bring it forward, it'll mean the latch isn't centred. Seems a bit of a dark art.

It looks a bit matte at the moment, but once polished I'm sure it'll look fine.

Not an easy job, such a large surface area to evenly spray. Think you've done good mate. Mine needs doing badly but I was going to perhaps buy another black bonnet I've seen for sale. Touching up my car is a pain as the metallic black is not easy to blend, even with the smallest scratches.
