Hi i just recently brought my cupra and the guy i got it of sed he has had it remapped and gave me a print of with 202 bhp just wondering if 15psi correct because thats the max im gettin?!?!

from 3rd gear onwards when booting it you should be peaking between 18/21psi depending on what map it is then tailing off and holding around 12/15psi again depending on what map you have thts assuming its only a remap that you have. to be honest i dont tend to look at the gauge when booting it so these are pretty rough figures.

cool just though i would check, not sure what remap i will check all the receipts lol! just ordered my forge split r so looking forward to fitting that thurs/friday! Hope its easy! will tht make any improvements as i read tht with remap you shouldnt be running standard valve? thanks
Why will my car odd time only boost to 6-8 psi? could it be a split hose! but when i stop turn off and back on again it fine!!!
What is limp mode? it could be 5psi to tell truth! how do i stop limp mode if it is this or test for it? Sorry to be so dumb but what is maf sensor and where isit? Thnaks m8
maf sensor is on the connection to the air filter, its a very common part to be faulty, just type it into search and you'll see

oh i got ya now when i brought the car the yellow ec light was on and i asked the guy why and he gave me a print off from seat sayin it was due to the iduction kit! for the 1st 2 weeks the light ws constantly on now it has just gone off?
and the way to test would be to unplug it take it for a drive and if the car pulls fine you know its a dodgey maf, When it gets to bad it will throw up a fault on VAG-COM, if you know someone with vag-com you could log the maf to make sure its working correctly. Sorry i cant remember what block you need to log for the maf though.

If it had a open cone on it id put money on it that its the maf thats f00ked! not sure why the light would have gone off on its own? have you disconnected the battery at all?

It only drops to 5 pis the odd time thought then if i turn off its ok when i re start! I have just unplugged and cleaned it all! How much is a new maf?? i have just found the seat invoice it says "" check epc light on. check VAG5051. numerous spoadic faults shown. probable fault to air filter as modifications have been made. erase faults.""
yeah i think the only fault to come because of a air filter is a dodgy MAF so thats probably what their on about. do you know what filter it is?
Basicly alot of people on here have a open cone to increse the whoooossssyy sound of the recirulating (spelling) dumpvalve, so unless you are after the induction roar id replace it with a modded box etc... cures further MAF problems.
