I'm looking to fit a Pioneer AVH-3200BT into my MKII Leon.

Firstly, does anyone know if this is steering wheel controls compatible? How do you find out?

Secondly, what adaptors will I need? Will the ones described at the start of the thread work?

Sorry I don't know much about ICE!

(ps i haven't posted 15 times so can post links.)

I too would like to know the answer to this. If anybody knows, it would be a great help. Want to install my Alpine ida-x305 head unit, but dont want to lose the standard bluetooth my fr tdi came with. Would also want the steering wheel controls to work.

Thanks

Sorry, have now found the details i was looking for, but cant post a link as post count not high enough.

Thanks

Hopefully will get chance over weekend to fit this new toy. [B)]

I'm in the process of preparing to install parrot asteroid in my fr. Given that it isn't out yet this is a little tricky. Have fascia adapter ordered and iso adapter however am trying to work out what the cable is that I will require for the steering controls, parrot aren't listed along with all the other manufacturers on that list. My steering wheel has only head unit controls and not Bluetooth/phone controls

Has anyone managed to get a RHD Single Din fascia/adapter? Double din stereos are a bit too pricy!

Dont mind having the tray under (in fact quite useful...)

Cheers!

Very good thread will eventually get around to putting a double din in mine.

Hi All,

Went to my SEAT Dealer today: 1p2858063 N87 is the correct part number. However N87 wasn't listed on their system, that would appear to be a variant based upon the model.

However, some of the earlier posts reference the Sat Nav Fascia and then a Golf MKV Adapter - you don't need to do this, instead order the part above, plus a "pocket" (EKTA should be telling the dealer about it, listed as parts 12 & 13 in the diagrams), which should be listed as well. This plus some spring clip adapters should be all you need.

Alternatively, just order all the above from Dave @ SERE!

I'll try to remember to post some pictures of the install as I go through for reference.

Has anybody had to cut and change any wires over when fitting a JVC KW-AVX810?? I tried ages ago to fit mine and could not get it working so gave up :headhurt:

No need to cut and change wires, just buy a Connects2 CTSST001 lead + JVC Connects2 Patch lead, then it'll plug straight into the car's ISO Adapter / CANBUS.

Recommend you double check compatibility with the Connects2 website, but this is what I've just bought. Should be plug and play. I got mine from www.dynamicsounds.co.UK via EBay. £34.99. Installing this weekend, will let you know how it goes.

Should also mention this means the steering wheel controls will continue to work too! For me, this is a big plus!

Can anyone tell me what keys I need to remove the oem headunit. I know theres 4 slots. Have been tinkering around with a few sets I have but cant get the thing to shift. Need to remove a nasty old handsfree kit thats attached to its side. Any links or pics of the keys would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I bought the clips from Seat as recommended, but I cannot for the life of me work out what I am meant to use them for, or where they go!

Anyone got any tips? Stereo currently held in with blue tak!

I can take some photos Monday, they are bloody awkward, although the keys from my Sony stereo worked ok, but I only had two. Brute force worked out ok in the end!

Yeah I know exactly what you mean I have a FL FR and I can't work out where to use the removal tools for the stereo. I'm watching this thread hoping to see the pictures, fingers crossed
