I found the Hubcentric spacers don't always fit tight with the OEM wheel bolts... Check that the bolts are SHORT enough to hold the wheel tight on the spacer.
Do you screw the spacer to the hub then the wheel to the spacer? Or do you bolt the wheel to the hun through the spacer?
Bolt thru with longer bolts given. Theres no thread on the spacers tho![]()
15mm sorry not 20mm lol
I had the same issue on the way down to Pod recently on my MK2.. had to turn round/go home and fit my other rims in the end.. it seems my bolts were just a little too long (2 mm's possibly), but it was enough to give the symptoms you are describing.
*incidentally, I have had a wheel come off just after coming off a m/way junction so it can be a VERY brown trousers moment.. especially when you've just manouvred round a 40 ft wagon!!
always make sure you CHECK YOUR NUTS !!!
Mine go right the way thru and bolt all the way Til i cant do no more but they dnt sit flush few mil out.
Ive taken them off nw.
Got a full milltek and fully adjustables with these spacers put on aswel. Looks and sounded great for 20mins til this noise lol.
So what u think i shud do?
Can you bolt them up without the wheel and spin the wheel to see if it's fouling on anything? If it does, then slowly unscrew the bolts to see if that makes a difference. It will proove Brummy's theory if the bolts are screwing in too far.
are you using the same bolts that you normally use or are you (when using the spacers) using longer/different bolts?
