Where can i get a good looking FUNCTIONAL shark fin aerial

I bought one in the end. (functional shark fin)

When I put it on should I put some sort of silicone to stop water get in through the roof?

If i should what should I use, links to stuff that wont damage my paint would be great thanks.

to be honest I still havent got round to fitting it, mine is a pretty much the same as that i think.

Quite like it - and fitting is an absolute doddle so dont panic lads!! But Im not so keen on putting a wire up for the booster in the aeril, anyone found a way around getting live feed up there or am I being silly?!

Ben, to revive this post Where did you take you power from for the amplified aerial? I still wana do this, just havent got round to it! I was thinking of taking it up from the boot 12v supply and trying to lead it up....................... thanking youuuuu

neither am i! the one on eby is £23 and im not payign that either. but im nto just waste money of cheap tacky looking ones either.

Go a BMW dealer see how much they want then you will realise £23 is cheap

Cant remember off top of my but boot plug is permanent no? From factory they run from the stereo antenna out all the way to the roof (follows the route of the aerial cable itself)

It wont fit, the connections are different, i bought one from them, the plug on the OE one is nothing like that. The connection on the shark fin is the same as where you plug it into the head unit but completely different at the roof end.
