how did it come out - does it drain like oil or do you have to suck it out with some sort of tool?

cheers

dead easy, theres a 17mm hex bolt at the bottom of the gearbox to drain from an then at the front of the box is an identical 17mm hex bolt, requires a tool seen below

No I used Redline MT90 oil in mine, and it took just under 2 litres. I bought mine from demontweeks.

you can get the same grade gear box oil from local car places i would have thought - wanted to do mine this weekend aswell - tried euro but they dont do redline MT90

when is the recommended time-miles to change the gear box oil??

wouldnt want to do it on my back!

if you still have SMIC, its a ****.

bottom plug is easy, but filling it back up is gay! gotta remove the intercooler to get to the fill-plug.

Dont suppose you could point out the drain and fill points on this picture?
I need to do mine aswell, but havent a clue where the points are.
