Whiteline Rear ARB

That's because it's intended for the Polo. There's more than one thread about this bar on Briskoda. Fitting may involve minor faffing around with the U bolt clamps as it's rumoured that the Ibiza and Fabia have bigger rear twist beams than the Polo.

Dunno if the last bit is true. Just that someone had minor issues fitting one.

I understand that but there are all sort of parts like this you can find on the web, It just seems strange how the manufacturer would need to change it alittle and could sell another product for doing very little. If whiteline did this we would more likely all have one already?

TBH Briskoda's not a large forum in comparison with some and the Skoda brand isn't the sportiest.

Either rear ARB option involves fitting components that VAG deemed unnecessary and made no provision to fit. Bang for buck though, a rear ARB is hard to argue against for sorting out the handling. Even the Jabba one is good value, IMO. What's £200 when you've spent £300 on a remap, £500 on spring/dampers and fitting? Though I confess I blanched a bit when I first discussed the Jabba bar with Nick @ Jabba. As the Whiteline adjustable bar for the classic Impreza weighs in at just over £100.

Yeah i know what you mean, the jabba one does seem pricey when you see the price other anti-roll bar kits out there for other makes of cars.

wonder if jabba priced it high as that was the only one out there, Would be interesting to see if they drop the price now. unlikely but hey

They'd better not do, they had put it up to £230 when I last looked, got mine for £200 in the group buy, must say this whiteline one does look good and is 3mm thicker! All counts!

Whiteline's is 20mm and adjustable. Jabba's is 23mm and not adjustable.

My preference.... is to have a rear ARB than not have one.

I think they do. most people are looking at the adjustable one, the fixed is probably 22mm and more than likely fixes the same as the jabba one to the bottom of the dampers without the drop links for the adjusting.

In a way - yes, but all 5 together (Coilovers, ARB's, Strut Brace, Tyres and Spacers) make the best results!

spacers ARB's and strut braces are a possibility as they're quite subtle, my mom n dad would shout at me for coilies, plus my insurance don't like them..the other 3 could be the way to go!

Some clarification....

First off, try www.whiteline.com.au

Select "VW" from "ONLINE PARTS CATALOGUE", then POLO, then 9N 02-06 etc...

6 items will be listed.

All the Whiteline ARBs require or come complete with droplinks. The adjustable ones have 3 sets of holes drilled in the bar rather than one, providing three different stiffness settings. It's a more flexible approach and allows you some leeway in dialling in your preferred F&R roll stiffness.

The Whiteline front ARBs are 22mm comprise a bare bar to replace the factory item. The rears are 20mm and comprise a complete fitting kit including clamps, bushes, droplinks, bolts etc.

So as the Jabba one is thicker then this might be best for the Cupra owners or those with thicker (Jabba) front ARBs and do lots of track days and the Whiteline would be more suited to those with std front ARBs that want to reduce roll and have better handling but don't want to go too extreme? Maybe this set-up would provide a better front/back balance? I'd consider the Whiteline for my FR as I think that the Jabba one might reduce the roll too much compared to the front. Just a thought

i know man, i'm STILL saving for a set of damn tyres for my wheels, then i need to save AGAIN to have coilovers and brakes fitted, all with a 2 week trip to paris in the middle! bugger! then I think i'll stop, and keep the car until it dies.
