But the G60 was developed over 17 years ago. That was before Intel had even released the Pentium. I think technology has moved on since then. And I would expect VW to not repeat the same problems as they have with coil packs.
I would expect most petrol cars to have turbo’s in the near future. It seems a viable way to improve a petrol engine, and not just for performance. Many makers are switching to turbo’s, Peugeot, the next Mini, BMW, Mercedes is moving from supper chargers to turbo’s. But the new VW seems to have the best of both worlds. And they’d also only probably release the 1.4 first, as they wouldn’t want to ruin their marketing opportunity of it by releasing a 2 litre then a 1.4 would they.
