Does any one know how much a new window regulator for the n/s as mine has just gone bang?

Yeah my N/S/F regulator went the other day too

It's part number 6L3 837 461 and costs 52.20 + VAT which isn't too bad its just the 1 1/2 labour to fix it thats an arse.
