how much for a remap at dastec jonnie5 is alive. by the way i'm just along the road from you in the valley.

I paid £414 for (at the time) one of there first second genaration unichips for drive by wire cars capible of running 4 throttle boddies as it has so many parameters

Awesome take a line of your lights so they can register your engine revs. Lights and stuff won't really effect your power output. Air conditioning is better being turned off, as that is a mechanical drain on the engine.

So does your alternator, but your right not that i=t would make that much difference though

jonnie5 - Do you have a Unichip fitted then? If so, how has it been? Are you pleased with it? Is the performance and delivery as good as you hoped?

Reason I ask, is a friend has just bought a Mitsi Colt CZT (superb little car!) and currently one of the only remap options available is the Unichip, so we were considering approaching the local dealer and asking if they will do us a special price if we get two cars booked in. But, I've never known of a LCR running it.

I had one fitted and mapped live on the rr on my vectra gsi gained about 15bhp and 10lbfts with a appollo and magnex, nothing special but its na car so unless you do machnical mods then dont expect nothing like a turbo car. First thing I really noticed that how smooth the engine was after. After a few weeks, and the novilty wore off, the engine was deffo quieter and smoother and more throttle responce. Before it always seamed to tail off at the red line and generaly feel lazy but after the power was straight through to the cut out.

That's good to hear, and not bad gains for an NA engine. Still on the hunt for an LCR with one though

Thanks for your help :)

This is my print out. Not much in it more top end really. where it always tailed off at the top it gained.More pull throught the middle range and less of a dip.Cant find the torque pics though

K04's can't reach 300bhp, they top out at around 290bhp if you're lucky.

But, you're right in saying that power figure looks low for Stage 3 IHI. Stewbies IHI LCR made 360bhp. Guess it's the mapping that could be improved on this one though?

J@mes I think got 301bhp and then was happy to admit that the rolling road result was pie in the sky stuff. I think Minty or someone went on at the same time and got an equally unrealistic result didn't they? And both were under no illusion that the RR was incredibly optimistic.
