well i definatly won't be going for a bigger turbo as i just forked out £2000 for this one also am i right in saying the bigger you go the more lag your going to get? also i use this car everyday and normally do about 800miles a week so have to keep it usable, i really don't like the idea of propane and nos partly because i don't understand it and partly because i would be to worried of something going wrong, i have been told cams aren't a great help and power gains would be minimal but i'm only going on what i have been told, i would love to get mine revving to 6000rpm
I hope you didn`t just pay £2000 just for the turbo as an Allard VT2 comes out at about £800 and thats not cheap. It`s true bigger the turbo more the lag but VNT turbos are nowhere near as bad as fixed blade turbos like a GT28rs etc. I use my car everyday as well and do about 400 miles a week. Propane is just another fuel source basically, it is a bit more complicated then that as it burns at a different pressure and at a hotter temperature. This is the kit i have got fitted and works very well.

Cams on an 8V engine will add more power top end but you will loose some at the bottom and in my opion not suited for a diesel car that is to be used for everyday general road use.
I wouldn't be suprised if it's not improved slightly or just stayed the same. Mine has stayed pretty much how it was before averaging 45mpg. With regards to the price of the Allards VT2, the prices went up so it now works out at £1022.25 (inc vat) to buy then fitting on top, however this will still be cheaper than £2000. I think the reason behind the Jabba price is because it is an inhouse development based on Turbodynamics turbo's rather than the Garrett turbo, or so I've heard. I thought they were all Garrett turbo's but the TD turbo's apparently are completely built by themselves. However don't quote me on this I was told it all while researching for my own car.
At a set speed slightly better then standard but then the ECU doesn`t know about the propane going in but propane ( LPG ) is half the price of diesel and 20 litre of propane lasts 5 tanks ( 60 litres per tank = 300 litres ) of diesel. 95 mph = 35ish mpg and 120 mph = 25 mpg.Whats your mpg like with all these mods??
probably not very good might aswell of just got a petrol![]()

i'm actually quite intrested in that now how much did the kit cost you(if you don't mind me saying) and how do you fill up?? is the gain like an in your face gain or is it very slight? the turbo kit i bought was http://www.jabbasport.com/services2.asp?serviceid=53 i didn't quite pay what the price was on theretop secret information hehehe
thats also the clutch i bought and the exhause but they dont actually sell a fmic for my car so had to go with forge, so what do you think if i went for bigger injectors and propane injection what do you think i should be seeing then?? i have heard that bigger injectors = massive amounts of black smoke and to be fair i cleaned my car on sunday and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for months at the back already lol would rather try and get away from more black smoke lol thanks again devonmikeyboy you have been a great help
