^^^ That's what I like the sound of, I must be getting old LOL

I'd fitted H&R coilovers to my old car (a Clio) and they were very very comfy. It's a shame they don't do them for the mk4 Ibiza, yet :(

On a serious note, they have transformed the handling and comfort is still being maintained. Quite pricey though. And its still from perfect. Need some rear spacers, rear arb, strut brace then should be finished on the handling front. Wait a minute how about an lsd:lol:

Ooh, that's put a spanner in my thinking! The were superb on the Clio - reasonably supple ride but just amazing handling when going for it. £750 though :-o

I was lucky and got my Clio ones in a groupbuy for £560 at the time...

The H&R's are £200 more than the eibach's. I think you would be more than happy with the eibachs Ally.
Yeah, as good as they were on my Clio, I couldn't justify the extra for the H&Rs (Eibachs can be had for £535 but H&Rs are over £200 more as you say). I'll be waiting a couple of months anyway I reckon, wait and see about Andy's one (after CupraStoo ;) ).

Or the KW or Weitec, as they are the same

KW builds them all.

:)
I knew KW made the Weitecs (hence why I've been considering them) - do you mean KW are the same company as H&R too? Or am I getting confused lol.

Sorry, didn’t explain correct:p. I mean KW builds Weitec and Eibach coilovers (and a few others…).

Bilstein built H&R, the ones I had before the KW. Today (2008), I don’t know who builds them as they they have two different versions of Coilovers, a twin tube inox line (similar to KW Variant 1 and Eibach) and a Monotube Aluminium Coilover kit, which isn’t still available for the Ibiza. I still haven't got the chance to have these new H&R on my hands :D.

Orange – you’re a fountain of knowledge, cheers [B)]. You've had a few coilover setups then?

Intrigued as to what other coilovers they also manufacture, if you can spill the beans, and if they’d be any good…

That’s interesting to know who makes what – should be same build quality across KW/Weitec/Eibach then, if it’s the same company manufacturing them.

And I’m guessing the characteristics of each will just depend on the specification requested by KW, Weitec or Eibach? i.e. that’s what makes them all different. Shame there’s not (yet) as many reviews about the Weitecs as for the Eibachs, as going on the comments and what I’ve read so far, Eibachs are going to be the best option for me in terms of ride quality, build quality, handling and budget.

Hi mate, I went for Weitec Hicon GT's (adjustable to 60mm) as you say good price and made by KW.

The road ride is harder than the CUPRA (which I wanted) but not overly hard as in bangs an crashes around (my mate has a standard 57 plate cupra).

The back on mine are as low as they go (60mm), which for myself is just right, otherwise you end up with the wheel having no gap at the top and lots at the sides of the arches which I personally dont like (when lowered too much)
And the fronts are around about 45mm lowered, so the car sits flat.

I am very happy with the ride now, fair enough you need to give speed bumps a decent amount of respect but I used to anyway
But for road handling and looks, I would give them a very high rating :) I have also added a strut brace for extra taughtness at the front and now its just how I want it.

Hope that helps!

does ur car make that horrible scrubbing noise if u have lots of weight in the car?
