Looks good.. sounds good but why so expensive?

Depends really what the shipping and import tax is though, its not that much of a bargain to be honest.

Also by the looks of it, its not got the take off pipe for the remote DV, so it won't work on a Cupra.

Doesnt look like it ties in anywhere to stop it jumping around either. Looks a bit cheap and nasty to be honest.

Good point... I've got the neuspeed p-flow kit, similar looking but powder coated black and it has a mount to the engine block near the the filter end to keep it in the place, got it from Awesome.
Highly reccomended. Comes with a heat shield too, think it was about £170. I've also some ducting running from next to my fog light behind the grill and it gets plenty of dense cold air from down there.

but was that for the cupra? as they are slightly different

No I've got the DV mounted to the turbo, not the remote one...not sure if they do a neuspeed cupra/ed30/s3 one yet? Awesome's Andy will know.
But if they do i'd say go for it, great sound especially if you lift off then power on again. I feel like it's lost a little low down grunt, but then it seems to pull through the gears better now.

You going to go for this then H8? There are 6 people I know with the Dbilas now and other than a sheared mounting bolt on the side of the engine 2, everyone seems pretty happy with them.

im just devious about the whole fitting of these as they are not specifically for the cupra.. i know the forge one had a seperate peice but they are still in development.

wont someone just make an open cone direct fitting intake for the cupra?

has any one atall fitted an induction kit to the cupra ! this whole fitting thing is annoying now, what would i need to modify to get a normal 2.0 tfsi kit working?

If you go to JKM, they will sell you an Evoms which they can modify to fit the Cupra, and it has an open cone. Certainly looks to be a better option than this item you posted above, and for what its worth, the Forge intake for the K04TFSi

i would prefer this

Thats the Seat Cupra Cup intake is it not? If you think the Evoms is expensive, thats gonna make it look like a penny sweetie.

To be fair mate, you get what you pay for. If you buy cheap you often buy dear or buy twice as a result.

If you are gonna change the intake on the car, bearing in mind it is quite an important part of the engine assembly, are you sure you would want to risk your £20k car with a cheap and nasty piece of crap intake with a Takasuki filter?

Why not go for one others have tried and tested already like the dbilas? Failing that, speak to Revo about the Evoms on their K1. There is another one that JKM sell as well that comes complete with a heat shield that looks good as well.
