Use an electrical tester screwdriver (phase tester) to push the inner tab in while you press the top of the tab and pull. Should release, it is tight the 1st few times you take it off.

Medium consistency silicone compound for sealing & protecting electrical switches, cable connection, terminals & sockets.Lubricant for metal on rubber or plastic surfaces
 
It could be used for any electrical connector, but you would only notice the benefits on ECU related plugs I think.
 
bought a little 3g tube in the end for 99p. probably enough for 1 or 2 applications. Havnt got round tp using it yet as im a little reluctant to prise the sensor apart.

Does anyone know of a shop that will ship outside the UK? I can't find a place that'll ship to Macedonia. Alternatively, would anyone help out a fellow TDI owner and possibly mail me a tube if they've got extra?
 
Hi, the link is the maplins product but it's not the best because as it's in a canister i think they add water or something to make it spray
