noticed your first post said it has a 1.6 rear beam? is it on drums or discs?
and as for next step, 2.0 turbo is the only way
everyone up my way is doing the 16v turbo's (gti-6 engine with a turbo)
I used to have an 8v turbo track car but was costing me too much so had to get rid of it

Rear is on drums on the Pug. with uprated front pads, should do the job. Next step is making it stable in race mode, we know it can get to the track fine
