My airbag light stay on all the time, although VAG COM detects no DTC.
What could be the reason?

I take it you have tried turning the key in the glove box?

I don't know what you mean, but what I did was that I changed the driver's door ECM and while I was doing this I disconeted central convinience ECM - the black box in the dash behind instrument cluster.

Can the problem be solved via OBD scanner/airbag reseter or do I need to change/repair airbag ECM?

Now I also scaned airbag module with VWTOOL and it reported DTC #65535 - controller malfunction. Once more I tried with VAGCOM and for some unknown reason it also reported DTC #65535 (00-00) - internal control module memory error.
I also rewrote eeprom (I have pre-error original hex code from this controller stored on my laptop) with vag eeprom programmer and VAGCOM scanner and reset crash signal&DTC but nothing works.

So I searched google and I found out that if you have this kind of DTC you need to change the module which is almoust more expencieve than a car's market price at this point. The difference between my DTC and DTC that I read is that my is 00-00 while other is 00-10 Intermittent. My airbag module VAG# is 6q0 909 601, software coding 12599, component 17 airbag VW 0004
shop# W5c 06441
Eeprom MC68HC908AB32

Ross tech stuff also warns that only original and NEW airbag module can be reliable especialy as this is the most important controller in the car and that old ones that are repaired are not to be thrusted.

What is your opinion. My final word/fact is that even if I wanted to change the module I don't have the money to do it, so should I start searching for a replacement of my Leon for a new 2nd hand car (with working airbag:whistle:)?
