Have you pulled the FPR and cleaned it? I've seen loads of problems with cr*p from the tank/lines causing issues and FPRs going bad. Whilst you're at it I'd certainly check the vac line on the FPR. I'm assuming you've done a new fuel filter?
Any turbulance in the MAF sensor is going to cause you problems, but I don't really know what setup you have. See what a stock MAF housing does and check the FPR and Vac line to it!

ill be checking the FPR and vac lines tonight and the fuel filter has been changed. i changed to a standard MAF at lunch but i havent had a chance to run any logs yet. idle is the same but i havent cleared the codes yet.

so, the MAF was swapped at lunchtime and I went to TotalVAG after work and we swapped the FPR and changed the vac hoses around so the FPR is now running off one hose, previously it had a tee to the Meth controller.
After we were finished we deleted the fault codes and it's idling much better and not throwing any codes (normally 3 cylinders showing misfires from lumpy idle)... I didn't get a chance to do any logs but I did check the fueling trims when I got in
they are 2.4% and 24%, the MAF has obviously made a difference, I'm surprised as it was fine on stg2, why the difference??
I hoping changing the pump will sort the mult, we have an idea but I haven't seen it done before. Greig has an R32 pump there which I'm thinking of using. A few may have seen the Blue R32 turbo at inters that Greig built. It was running ridiculous quarters and amazing 0-60s. If that can run 430bhp on a standard pump (440cc injectors) then surely it can cope with my fueling needs??

Has anyone got any thoughts on that pump or know someone who has tried it in the past?
TBH ive got nothing to lose by trying it and if it works it will be a relatively inexpensive why of upgrading your pump. i cant seem to find any flow figures on it though.

genisis 550s buddy yes... similar total flow.
theres only one... i will have to blank one of the two pickups. i need to find flow data, im thinking the R32 pump will be the same as the 4WD V6 Leon?? Etos is useless sometimes.

Just checking since some people run bosch 440cc's or run 550's@4bar which from memory revo stage 3 is a 3 bar 550cc program. But all is correct.
What issues are you having Aaron with finding flow rates.
It's quite possible that you have a lot of turbulence in the MAF housing from running the filter directly onto it, it would be worth running the filter further away from the MAF housing giving the airflow a length of hose/tube/whatever to settle in pre MAF.
i just want to confirm that the R32 pump does flow more than the LCR
Hi Kev, do you think this is the reason for the mult fuel trim being so far out? the idle has is great now. i will have an R32 fuel pump early next week.
i have a bit of a space issue with the meth tank being where it is. if it turns out to be the problem i will remove everything to add some pipe in there if i have to but i would like to see the fuel good to the redline first.
Hi Aaron, sorry mate I didn't realise (or bother to read!) that the car was idling properly now. It's still worth testing as it could cause you lots of issues if the readings are inconsistant! The MAF does have direct effect on the fuelling to a point as well!
drop one of these in and be done with it
idle fueling being off wont be fuel pump.. its hardly beign asked for much fuel delivery is it.

Idle fueling is good now (2%) im just lacking top end and im only running low figures right now. i think the pump is sagging after running stg2 4bar for two years.
if i were to go with an inline i think i would have to replace my pump anyway if it cant support 330ish 3bar?

Fuel dellivery curves for pumps are pressure vs flow. With an inline you'll roughly split the pressure evenly between the pumps if the pumps have the same rating. If the inline is higher rated, it'll take on more of the pressure load.
Look at the graph below, and look at fuel delivery at 1.5 bar vs fuel delivery at 3 bar. Your car is running fuel pressure at fpr+boost, so 5-6 bar. Look at the difference in flow between 5 bar and 2.5 (72.5bl vs 36.25lb). Huge isn't it.
Now you need 132l/hr (550cc*60*4) if your injectors are flat out, so if your in tank pump provides no pressure, the lower spec walbro pump at 6 bar will still flow enough.
Unfortunately for me at 6 bar and 152l/hr requirement, its decidedly marhginal hence why I now have 1 in tank and 1 in line 255l/h pumps.
