thats cars for you, mine will judder then be fine, one minute i think its got a boost leak next it aint, and they tap like fook. btw my trubo has been replaced think its a common thing on the 1.8t engine

Ur turbo will be fine don't think about a hybrid take that idea out ur head you may as well put a ko3 on there as you loose power fitting one lol think ur worrying too much , if ur going new turbo I would either stick to standard k04 or gt28 etc Both will run great one costing more lol

Im gonna just put another k04 on it with my forge actutaor that ive already got...Ive took out all 4 spark plugs and there fine no carbon build up or no signs of Oil too..

Its without a doubt the turbo as ive used alot of oil already..

F.A.O Dan

Were did you get the cheque'd vinyle that you used on the roof Dan? as i want to be abit different from the other OEM Leons around here..

When you pressure test a K04 car, the turbo oil seals will allow some air/ oil to pass through and cause the oil in the sump to buble and find its way into the combustion areas /turbo. I often burn of oil after a pressure test but it should not last for much more than 10 miles, this is why its slowly getting better.
A well made k04 turbo is a great piece of kit and is currently the cheapest way to break the 300 bhp barrier in an LCR, how can an upgraded k04 not increase power - its a nonsense. What is needed with a hybrid is its owner to have a hands on approach or use a decent tuner who understands that an increased compressor wheels will ultimately require stronger actuators if stock power and above is to be made .

The forge actuator is a great piece of kit but its not fit and forget on stock rods or else your gambling. Fit it with an MBC to limit peak boost and your laughing but limp mode on a RR is possible though due to the increased acutator pressure.
I love my APR remap and recommend it highly but APR does not offer an upgrade route past stage 2 and for this purpose because i believe a hybrid needs stage 3 for best resuts i'd advise you to go REVO if a hybrid is on the cards its cheap too.

Im not technical minded like you willy etc, but two of my mate have a hybrid k04 turbo with a uprated actuator on their LCR's and they dont make any more power than stock units, one was B3LSY on here whos made 280bhp and my other mate, his made 285bhp. Both their max power is made at 5300rpm and at 5500rpm, the power has dropped right down to 240bhp and holds 240bhp to the redline, which to me is cr@p as when you are using that power to race, they are just using 240bhp of the power if you get me. Thats why my standard LCR stays with them top end, if we race from side by side, their initial burst of power gives them a length or so over me, then it stays the same. Thats why i wouldnt ever go k04 hybrid on mine, when i get mine mapped, im going to rape them, dan s1 pru of here knows about their hybrids

So what your saying willie is this is normal after a pressure test?yeah Im not gonna fit my actutor or go down the hybrid route as id end up chasing power again...thats what my Nova is for...

Also ive got some oil but its 10w 40 is that alright..i think i used than in the ibiza..

Like brad says I can't see any difference in the hybrid unit they had fitted as my stage 2 lcr all ways stuck side by side with them and most the time pulled from them And I'm talking all the way through till off the clock I no my mates only went hybrid as there turbo was fooked but still a waste of the extra money if you ask me

Done a Full Oil & Filter change today when i got in and just topped her up with oil...I haven't Driven it yet but we shall see later...

I also Received My Scorpion De-cat Pipe and new Hids from across the Pond..Now i can finally Install that last wire on my wot box :D....Ive also Bought a new bosch maf sensor too to rule out the maf...
