Sounds like the turbo has gone to me! White smoke indicates turbo blown. Black smoke indicates boost leak. :) Blue smoke means burning oil obv.

Is it white smoke?

I was in my brothers Audi S3 when his turbo went and it threw out a load of white smoke.

yeah loads of white smoke

if its white smoke and a lot of it then sounds like ur Turbo, first time when mine went I had a huge flame out the exhaust followed by a huge amount of black smoke followed by white.second time car was not boosting and I just had a heck of white smoke come out....first time my Turbo literally destroyed, and the second something went through it destroying the exhaust side of the Turbo.

Spotted you today on Paisley Road West at 12:20 today, making a "spirited" get away from the cash line...
I was crossing the road, nearly died from the industrial revolution puring out the back of the car!

On the turbo I would!! Keeps pressure in the turbo, saves it travelling all the way up to EGR to find it cant get through....

Cheers,do you think I should buy an extra delete to put at the end where it goes up into the throttle body?
Otherwise would it not just be left open,I know obviously nothing will be flowing through it but just curious?

Like you say - there'll be nothing going through it so shouldnt be an issue. If it was deemed necessary, I'm sure both Allards and other companies that make them would supply two. :)

The allard pipe doesn't have a place for the egr pipe to connect to it gets rid of it. You put the blanking plate on the exhaust manifold where the old egr pipe connected too, you then remove the old egr housing of the manifold, and put the allard pipe on, this gets rid of the egr all together.

Ah yeh - it does! :D

I'd get all custom charge pipe made up too and convert it all the silicone. I got rid of 99% of my standard IC pipework setup and replaced it with custom and silicone.

thats what i have planned. the allard pipe is 57mm so i need to order up the right silicone hose, do you know what size the aluminium pipework is where the 90 degree standard hose connect from to go to the egr?? i have a feeling it is the same but not sure??

remember our egr has the cooler so it is water cooled...can't remove that alltogether...if so how?

O yeh you have a pd150 engine, although 160bhp in the cupra, my engine hasnt got one i don't think,(pd130) just straight from the exhaust manifold to the the inlet manifold, You can get rid of it all together, i'm not 100 % but id imagine it just has two coolant hoses going to a heat exchanger, can you not unbolt the cooler, and just but a straight connecter in and connect the in and the out coolant pipes of the cooler together, and then you could get rid of it all together, just put a blanking plate on the turbo manifold then.
