Is it a 225 or 210 as standard. what airmass g/sec is she pulling.
To give you an idea of air flow , i needed an air mass reading of 260 g/sec to break the 300bhp barrier, so when i see people posting with like 215g/sec at say 280bhp i think to myself maybe not.;)

Unsure - The logs I have saved don't appear to have had g/s as a logged block - I'm only going on what my runs have said, I'm quite happy to be proved wrong, I enjoy how the thing drives :)
Oh - I didn't actually read whether we were talking about WHP or at the fly - but what I do have stated ~260 at the wheels, 278 at the fly
That could have something to do with it

The turbo will have a maximum power output that it cannot go over......however, if you are running WMI-which I assume is water methanol injection(?) and you inject it before the turbo ie into the inlet pipe it can alter the compressor map of a turbo and make it produce more than is otherwise possible. It does shorten the life of the turbo though as over time the little tiny droplets of water damage the compressor blades.

Have a readup on the ERL aquamist site about this if you're interested.

Found an interesting thread on how turbos can be made to exceed their maps and therefore power thresholds using WI pre-compressor.

On Jabbas rollers on the hottest day of the year it ran 275 with the torque between 330 and 340 lb/ft.

I have since modified the fuel filters and cleaned up some pipework.

That was my own thought also till I saw the numbers.

The only explanation is that the turbo had been played with before I bought the car it came from.

How can I tell if it's a special?

The torque is consistant on 2 dynos.

Other cars that ran on Sunday were around the same numbers that had been seen on other dynos. We were all shocked but even on the second run it did just the same. To drive it feels all the power.

And my old mk4 Ibiza ran 260bhp on its last RR day, but there's no way a k03s would flow that much, ever.....

Unless you have had it on at least 4 different dyno's (make of dyno that is) and achieved the same numbers on every dyno then I'm still going to say a k04 will never, ever flow 345bhp..

Just my 2p worth :)

Rather than just saying it can't, can you have any input into why it's giving these numbers?

Can I ask why the Forge Actuator, are the stock actuator springs weak after a remap?
hybrid k04's need an uprated actuator. An uprated actuator on a stock turbo will cause huge boost spikes since the n75 can't regulate boost as efficiently and it may hold boost a little better at the red line eliminating wastegate creep. Many people have bent thier con rods though so i would only recommend this mod inconjunction with a manual boost controller to clip peak boost.

Thanks, I would have thought it would apply more to stock KO4s as I thought a lot of hybrids bore out the turbine recess meaning there would be more pressure on the wastegate in a stock turbo?

bore out turbine recess ?
more flow past the turbine would reduce backpressure not increase it on the wastegate

Yeah a forge actuator is dicing it on a OEM Bottom end with stage 2...But im doing the same as john with the new revo code.....The K04 can produce a nice torque curve with the actuator on and set up proberly....
