Good work so far fellah, looking nice.

I have gone: Awesome 007p - Pipercross panel - THS Dogbone - Milltek Catback - Remap @ performance torque tomorrow.

Really happy with how the car drives right now and the remap will be the final piece for me.

These 5 things have really changed the drive on my LCR

I'm very interested to see how your remap goes mate, performance torque were one of the 3 maps I was looking at. Another vote for the 007p, I think that's clearly the right choice.

Thanks for the compliments mate, when I started I knew zilch about cars but I'm slowly learning - this is going to be my pride and joy!

This has been my first turbo car and I have learnt quite abit via this site if not everything!.

You have started the right way - get the car CLEAN!

My next plan of attack is tidying up the whole car properly (need re laquering of bumpers) and then some new boost/coolant hosing for reliability.

*EDIT* Great purchase mate! really is a must have

Yes this is a great site, I can't wait to start doing the harder jobs like FMIC etc. The rewarding stuff ;) Once the performance is there I'll be touching things up like you, brembo refurb and body work TLC. Then some lovely red hosing in the bay :)

They're pretty awesome cars I must say, it puts a smile on my face as standard and when clean they look so good.

Most rewarding I have done so far is the THS!!! changed the cars traction and was literally a 10 min job best £50 I have EVER SPENT and that includes in the 'lady bars' haha.

I'll check your readers ride for that one mate definitely!

You ****** Tyrer! Why did I read your RR? Now I want to spray my wheels this month as well!

A very slippery slope...

Nice one buying the 007p Tom. It's definitely the right way to go...

Looking forward to seeing how your car comes along and what routes you take.

Replacement HID's fitted. Not flickering like the last set but the passenger side still isn't as bright as the drivers side. I'll have to wait till this evening to see for sure, but I'm guessing it's down to my headlamps or reflectors. Pretty annoying. It's not really noticeable while driving but from outside the car it is. The replacements were also a completely different set to the first lot and had a few funny spelling mistakes on the back :D

Beams are a better level now (was driving on setting 1 before) and the passenger side is not noticeable dimmer in the dark. All good :) Bring on the awesome 007p in then next couple of days, then new plugs and oil at the weekend. Noticed my front nearside tyre is totally bare on the inner edge - oops! Time for new tyres too! Goodbye beer money :(

Nice work mate.

007p will be a great mod and freshening up the plugs etc will make a great difference to the feel of the car.

Keep up the good work :)

007P has arrived, looking at my OEM one there is no clip round the vacuum hose and two normal jubilees that are reusable round the other joins. The forge guide mentions 2 crimp clamps that are throw away and replace jobbys, but mine just has the vacuum hose pushed onto the top and the other 2 clips I mentioned. Reckon it's ok to just fit the 007P in the same way?

Yep, jubilees for the two 25mm ports will be fine. I got a small jubilee for the top vacuum port for mine, I think on mine as standard I had a single-use clip. Probably don't want to risk that coming off, unlikely but if it does the the valve won't open when its' supposed to, which is a bad thing.

i Would recommend just using a cable tie on the nipple on top
It will give adequate grip without being able to be pulled over the bead
If you do jubilee it be careful as this pipe wont have any ply reinforcement and overtightening will start to cut the pipe

I just fitted it how the OEM was, two normal reusable clips and none on the vacuum hose. Took it round the block and down the dual carriageway - checked the vacuum hose after and it hadn't moved so for now I think it will be fine. Will get a clip as soon as I can though.

EDIT: Cheers ronin, I have cable ties on me - good idea :)
