Here, there and everywhere ;)
Looking good :)

The air-con removal is a good move..i did mine the other week along with fitting lightweight pulleys ;)

Do you have a link for the catch-can and where you got the battery relocation bits from as these are next on my list.

You going to use the Mk4 Golf washer bottle or something else?

Cheers mate :)

Yeah well worth it as I never use the thing anyway. Ahh good move with the lightweight pulleys I didnt think about that! Dont they also adjust the alternator gearing so it doesnt sap away as much power from the engine?

Ill try and get you a link tonight for the battery tray and catchcan, I cant go on ebay at work :(

I used/using (hasnt actually arrived yet) a 1.2l universal ebay washerbottle.
Havent decided on a position to mount it yet.. maybe tucked down the drivers wing in the bay.. or possibly in the boot using the existing rear washer pipework.

Nice one I'm starting ripping out my ac tonight :) any tips?

Remeber you need the shorter belt.. the part numbers in here somewhere.. make sure you stand well back once youve cracked the bleed valve off to degas the system..

I found it alot easier to take off the whole front of the car to (slam panel and rads) as you get a hell of a lot more access at all the bolts.. plus i dont think its possible to take the A/C rad off without doing that.

Youll find out when you do it :) not hard atall though mate just remove everything that is attatched to the pump.

I hope to fcuk you did'nt replace your mass damped crank pulley for a "lightweight" one

A friend did this on his LCR and this was the result:

Thankfully I didnt!

It would be coming straight off If I did after seeing them pictures.

Whats actually happened.. the extra vibration of an undampend pully caused everything to fail?

Nope no difference in noise than the N75.. just boosts harder.

Does it make the noise under load or at idle?

i just wonderd if that hissing/sucking noise was the n75 venting back to atmosphere ie the hosetail that gos back into the tip there for wonderd what the MBC does in this case.....if you get me

Yes I get what you mean.. It wouldnt vent untill your set psi was reached and then as the valve opens it would only vent down to the actuator to open it.. I dont think it vents anywhere else..

I also think the only reason the N75 mounts into the tip is to get an ambient pressure reading rather than to vent air.

Does the car feel fine to drive apart from that? does it hold boost better?
I will of probably noticed a greater difference to you as I had a duff N75 in the 1st place..

EDIT I have just noticed is yours a k03 or a k03s? as the S will hold more boost top end..

they reduce heatsoak into the inlet manifold from the head of the engine and overall reduce intake temps.

The intake temp sensor is also fitted in the inlet manifold so it keeps that in a nice and cool environment and keeps its readings down.

Basically the colder the air the more fuel you can add which = more power.
