Welly used std k04 mani , then 034 one which CRACKED in 3 weeks use.. then went onto XS one which he ran for just over 3 months before changing the whole setup for a larger BT setup and 370bhp power..

Blocks painted and heads on and torqued up starting to look like an engine again.

Had to get 2 snapped studs out the head which was a bit of a nightmare as one had snapped flush with the head.
Luckily after drilling it out heating up the head and using a stud extractor it came out quite easily :)
Decided to replace all the studs as I was sent a bag of about 20 lol.

Pictures to follow as the camera has died!

It Is so much easier mate it's a nice job building it up outside the car helped do mine and really enjoyed it got a mate who's been a mechanic for 30 years I mainly watched lol
I supplied all parts cost me only 580 labour to take out strip, re bore and rebuild enine, and put it back in now thats mates rare.

Must be cool to be able to build it all yourself though much more rewarding.

That is a very good price!

I'm just a tightass and would rather spend my money on parts rather than labour.

I want too build it up out the car too so I can take some nice pictures of the whole thing :)
