ha i have got some plans hoping for the 500 bhp mark :) shouldnt be too hard with decent turbo ;)
ill keep watching this thread see how its all going :)

Yeah, personally I think the r32 is more suited to a supercharger.. will keep the power delivery more liniar and instant.

But yeah if your going for big numbers turbo will be best, you will have to take me for a spin when it gets done :)

So you just machined out the injector seal hole, made it slightly bigger? Do you have a spare largeport inlet?

not the sealing hole but the countersink to let the injectors drop lower. Also took the lugs the rail bolts too down fits a treat now!

Im afraid not mate took me long enough to find mine.

Still debating whether I should go fully ported small port, or lightly ported largeport (and have the hassle of inlets with TB on the wrong side, re-doing IC pipework and selling my spare AYP) Not sure whether I will see big enough gains over the well ported small port enough so to warrant the extra £££.

Hmm its a tough one, I dont know the flow differences between a fully ported smallport vs a largeport.. be worth finding out.

Maybe its something you could do at a later date its no biggy to change the head.

You can get largeport inlet manifolds in passenger side exit just really hard to come across.

vw sharan and seat alhambra are the 2 that have them.

Mines an agu off a golf, but thats only because it was really cheap and my IC pipework isnt set in stone yet so can be easily adapted.

As for flow a well ported smallport seems to be marginally better than a largeport but obviously costs more...might look into the mani and getting a largeport then. Figures which Wak are talking about are more than I expected in which case I need may need large anyhows.

I will look into this more methinks.

Will get your pipe sent out tomo mate.

Yeah probably your best option.

Whats he think you will make?

And cheers :)

I dont think you can port the smallports to the same size as the largeports, especially at the point where the valves are.. not 100% on that though

i'm sure one of bill build on a mk3 ibiza with gt30 set up i think with a ported small port head he said its better to get a large port over a portes small port

Bill will always argue that largeport is better for flowing than small port, I agree because it's physically a bigger head, allowing more air flow. On the other hand there's some pretty good arguements for the ported small port too, I just need to find out what's going to be best for my application.

I think if I go largeport it leaves scope or future development, something which will no doubt happen.

As for figures, that's to be revealed because it's really down to the day, he's said I can be there whilst it all happens meaning I should get a full understanding and some pictures too :)

Recieved my Highflow coated INA manifold from Danny today and it is a sexy piece of kit!
I am going to port the hotside of the turbo to match the larger manifold outlet I think..
