didn't welly's make 340 with tubular manifold ? i think i'm gonna do stick standard one on first to see a comparison cause , don't think john will finish this manifold for another month at least . i'm really optomistic that urs will make 320 bhp
I have an INA higflow manifold which will easily outflow the standard manifold and be almost as good as a tubular, the bores are huge and consistent right through the manifold it also has a 47mm collector rather than 42mm
it made 330bhp on 034's before it cracked in several places.. The XS mani went on then and did very similar power, and flowed much better than the stock ex mani.. The XS one lasted surprisingly well, but did'nt have to last to long to outlive the 034 thing.
water meth and largeport head also remember.. so it can run lots of timing where smallports can't
what are you using for a gasket?
check the hotside clamps flat to the manifold before fitting it... It can be VERY close.. and if it contacts elsewhere it will hold the turbo off the flange face and blow
Danny had run it for a few months before I baught it from him and it has no signs of cracks ect.
I have a largeport head, largeport inlet manifold & 70mm tb and will be fitting AEM WMI before its mapped.
fingers crossed re the manifold.. Wellys was shocking poor grade material
Coming on a treat mate, bet you cant wait to feel her on full boost
Quick update, turbo's all back together, and have just ordered a Spec stage3+ paddle clutch, its rated to 525 ft/lbs so wont have any slippage problems.
I must say I received top service from Spec and would recommend them, After hearing Alex's problems he had with them I made sure I got written confirmation of a warranty on the parts.
Done me a good deal too!
same as mine.. I will say that when I removed my last one, a chunk of one of th epuk segments was missing.. no functional problem, but it had fallen off/dusted into bits sat in the bottom of the bell housing.
zero slippage.. which is more than I can say for the tyres - lol
thats alot of gauges james , looking good though
