ah ok. well looking into brakes now, along with getting rid of the induciton kit & getting a pd160 intake along with a good panel filter, so...
good brake pads?
good vented, possibly drilled and grovved discs (all round)?
best place to try and track down TT brakes? (what else do i need besides the discs?)
& best panel filter to work with the pd160 intake?
cooler arrive ok?
excellentyeah cheers mate!! all sorted, blocked off to & car is good. will be getting all sorted to turn it right down on the remap
are your tt brakes a big improvement on the old ones? also what pads you running?
i was thinking of rather than getting tt discs, get drilled and groved discs of the same size?
So basically your saying just get better discs the same size with better pads?
Brembo? EBC? Mintex? What's the best?
What about upgrading the size of the rear discs??
Was thinking of either getting Brembo Max discs or others that are grilled and groved with good quality pads.
Also I'm aiming for 200bhp (with a new turbo etc)
so your going the same route as me then, 200bhp is basically stage 2 (stg 2 = 210bhp) and at that level the 312mm brakes should be bought.
Discs wise brembo max are well recommended and look good as well.
So brembo max & brembo or mintex or ebc?
Ah cheers for the tipsI'll have a nose around. Best tyres too?
Looking around for a pd150 turbo as my mate who had that vrs - well the turbo has just gone because of the increased power from the remapbad times!
Which shape Leon do I need to get the turbo from? The mk1 (1M) or mk2 (1P)?
Also sending my car to 200bhp I've heard it mentioned to get bigger injectors? Correct??
Obviously I'm wanting the pd150 turbo so that when I get my remap I'll have reliable power from the turbo and the engine overall - and the knowledge that it ain't gunna go pop!!
