Phew... It's nice to see one the very best cars on here looking (just a little) dirty :D

Glad to hear that the car is running well again Darren. I think I remember that you had the AMD map as aposed to the Revo Linear one that AMD also offers? Clearly you're happy with AMD's map? Their customer Service sounds A+.

Sorry mate I couldnt resist it any longer :D

Yeah I've aways had the AmD map, it's had a few tweaks through the years though :D I've been told to drive it for a few days and see how it goes, there might be another tweak in the pipe line

And before you know it... she's clean again :) Nice day for it anyways.

It's impressive to know that AMD are so accessible and that they take pride in their work; it's hard to come by these days! I hope you're liking the more progressive feel :)

I managed to get them both clean then the sky's opened :(

AmD have aways looked after me, I've got a very good relationship with them :D

As it looked like I'd have to wait till mid Jan to get the parts to repair the Recaros I decided to have a go at repairing them myself.
It was only the top of the drivers door side bolster that had gone so I cut up a few bit's of pipe lagging and started padding the metal frame.

I did'nt get any pictures of it once I was happy with the shape but it looked pretty good, You can feel it's a bit uneven but it's not really noticable.

Then I set about fitting them

Just need to get them properly cleaned now.

I've not been out in the car yet but they feel a lot more supportive :D

Come and wash mine for me please :p

How are you finding your new height? I copied EL's height albeit slightly higher and I'm considering raising it a little bit more as I have now destroyed my splitter :(

Hahaha :D
The ride feels a bit better, the only reason I raised it was cause I'd rubbed through the rear arch liners

I hate you :(

I want some Recaro's now :(

Great addition Darren. It really brings the interior together doesn't it? An alternative longer term would be to buy some firm apolstry foam and shave it to the required shape (wouldn't cost half as much as a new seat base from VAG).

Like you/Maz had suggested earlier in your thread, I bought some Megs APC and used it to clean my new LCR armrest; I was amazed by how much dirt it pulled from the material! With one final clean, your seats should come up a treat :)

P.S. Tom, it'd give you super-power support on the track

I'll keep my eye out.

What a fair price for a set these days mate? Wouldn't mind the rears too..

They normally only come up in a set, but Recaro rears are very rare.
Your looking at around £500 for Recaro fronts and normal rears.

That sounds about right. I have the Recaro bucket rears in mine and they're very nice to look at, but don't offer much in the way of room for those who are taller/wider in frame. It's a shame that Recaros weren't fitted in all LCRs. They make the interior IMO.

Ouch :(

The fronts look very supportive though. I need to sit in them soon please :)

I've been offered a set of Leather Recaro front's but I'd need to find a set of Leather rears

What do you think would suit it better Leather or Cloth ?
