Donor car doesn't really matter too much as all the parts are from the VAG parts bin, so R32, Golf 4Motion, A3 Quattro, S3, Octavia 4x4.
Think mine is mix of R32 and S3.

Cost depends on the parts availability, but we got is as a 'package', and im not certain on the total cost, maybe 300 euro.
But here is a run down on the parts I can remember that are needed.
4WD diff
Propshaft
Front transfer box
Rear diff
Diff carrier
Haldex controller
fuel tank and sender
ABS controller
ESP controller
Rear subframe
Rear hubs
L/R Rear propshafts
Front and rear Anti roll bars
New exhaust parts
wires, bolts, sundries, and oils
Labour must be 50 plus hours.
Most garages/tuning shops around my area are around £60/hour labour so just the labour alone is £3000 for those 50 hours unless yours was drastically cheaper and then add on all the parts you need too

Sell the Cupra and get an S3 which is a better car in the first place
I wouldn't of done it, but ive gone so far with my car over the last 7 years I have no intention of ever selling. Its a big change to the car, involving cutting bits out as you can see!
PS; I have got the ESP working correctly yet, but hopefully soon.

Quick question, were you able to fit the new transfer box onto your existing gearbox/transmission or did you have to change that as well? Its just I cant see a new gearbox mentioned in the above list.
How did you get on with the ESP setup? is it sorted now? was it down to coding alone? thanks

Driveshaft, PCV Valve, Turbo, Seals, Coolant leak, oil leak, transmission leak, coil pack, gear linkage cable, engine mount, probably some more things..
