At least you lot know how long its going to take, I placed my order on the basis they told me 12 weeks delivery, sold my car expecting it the 1st Sept to then be told a week before the car had not even been built or didn't have a build date. It took around 7 months in total. Why is the build times so long, if I knew the build time was going to be that long there is no way I would have had one.

If they are honest with the build dates - They would lose so much business to other manufacturers that they would go bust.
I don't know how relevant this is. Due to holidays, my order went in first week of January 2015 and predicted delivery date was April 2nd. I was notified mid-March the car was in the country and was delivered March 27th, a week early.

The brochure says 12 weeks minumim for a factory order. I was given 12 estimated weeks from point of order, then after a week or so that dropped to 10 weeks, given a build week number and will be approx 3 weeks until at the dealer here in UK. Once its been made they should be able to predict the day of collection.
Ordered the 13th of March, week 11. Build week is week 17, plus 3 weeks is week 20. Suspect if it might roll in to week 21 which is 3rd week in May. But will know more once it's on the train/transporter/boat

Ordered 17th march. Accepted by factory on the 25th.
The delays are on the 19inch alloys on the cupra. 19weeks is the current delay. He did say all other versions are on schedule. Which is the case here... Hope you enjoy your car mate.
My dealer is totally unaware of any delays on the std 19" rims, despite my reference to threads on this forum. I ordered my ST Cupra on 26th Feb and is confirmed as being built week 17 end of this month April. I guess I am expecting a call at some stage from the dealer to say car is being delayed because of the wheels, or would I like to upgrade to the Black Pack for £500 - happy days!
