I've ordered the St Cupra 290 and its arriving late Feb/March. I've been told by the dealer that
Black/ Black leather isn't available? Only Black/ Grey, was their anybody else told the same thing?

Ordered our 290 5dr as soon as the dealer could so November time IIRC and we've now been given a build date of week 5, expected delivery March 16. Seems others are coming through sooner? I'm not too bothered - we love our current Supercopa so whether it's on a 65 or 16 plate I'm not too fussed.
Just wondered if the options have delayed ours slightly? We've 'only' gone for the Multi-Spoke's, Sound pack and Midnight Black metallic paint but opted for the manual so not sure if that affects lead time?

Confirmed build week 3 for my 290. So should be here late Feb. I had to spec black multi spoke alloys to avoid the lead time being 6 months +!I placed order mid November. I ordered direct through SEAT and the service has been excellent. I just hope they are putting decent tyres on them now, the bridgestones on the 280 sound like they are terrible. Has anyone actually taken delivery of a 290 yet?
I've heard this RE: the alloys as well when we started looking seriously back in June... apparently there's a problem with the standard alloys? Not too fussed - I really don't like the standard alloys and think the Multi Spokes make the car in honesty.
I noticed the tyre noise on the test drive but just assumed it was because of the bigger alloys - didn't look at the brand of the tyres on the demo. They were black and round... that's all I know!
Build week 8 they tell me! Late March expected delivery.

Ken H - I've ordered in ice silver too, thought it looks good personally.
I haven't even test driven a Cupra so bought based on reviews, I don't think I'll be disappointed though

You won't be, but buying on reviews only, come on.
Nowhere had one in stock for a test drive. Took out a 184fr so get the general idea and found it comfortable. I assume the cupra is a bit quicker

Why not? Their raving about it. I was lucky enough to test drive the 280 hatch back and coming from an avensis 1.6 ltr petrol year 2000 I didn't think the speed it effortlessly gathered was legal before everybody starts laughing...... Previous ownership , 205 gti, Williams Clio, Clio 172, type r EP3 ! Then I saved some bobs and took my time purchasing the C290. Persauded the wife a family hatchback is what we needed and so here I am. She has a heavy foot, won't be long till she losses the license.
Silver I think works best with the spoke alloys , pillars and mirrirs
