Agreed, it's a good deal to be had! Can only assume it's to get them out there before the facelift comes along.

I think the ST looks good, but prefer the hatch myself... I've got a 6 and 1 year old but have the 3dr haha!

The CLA was the car I almost got, they're very nice!

What's mad, is that the 1.2 TSI 110 is £216/pcm when a Golf R estate is £192/pcm!
Has anyone actually heard the new mid-box chopped exhaust up close yet? Oddly enough, us 225 owners either chop out the mid-box or rear-box to get more pops and bangs. It doesn't sound like a 1.2 chav tractor either as most would expect.

I picked up my Cupra 290 Black with Sub 8 pack on Saturday there. Covered 600 miles in it already!

Ordered through Drive the Deal back in February. Very pleased with it. It's a 5Dr Manual in Ice Silver. I didn't think I wanted the pops and bangs from the exhaust but having heard it now I'm hooked. It doesn't happen all the time though so I'm constantly looking for it when pushing along a country road. Always a nice little treat when I get the bangs.

Is it also that all cupra 290's come with satnav/bluetooth audio streaming with the apple carplay and DAB?

I still can't decide whether to add side skirts too!

I ordered before the black edition was announced. However, I'd specd the sub 8 pack which already came with the performance alloys and I'd specd the bucket seats as well so it made no difference to my order.

The alloys look great IMO and the bucket seats are much more supportive than the standard items, I really like them. The extended side skirts were also part of sub 8 pack. I didn't realise you could spec them individually. If you can then def get them if they're not over priced as they make the car stand out more from the FRs I reckon.

I think all new cupras come with the nav, DAB, full link (which is great with Android auto) and Bluetooth audio.

Side skirts look to be a £475 extra, but not sure how much that would actually add to the PCM price.
One thing I have found out is that I can have any of the metallic paint options at no extra cost.
I'm torn between dynamic grey and monsoon now - the dynamic pearlescent finish looks great but I can't help thinking that monsoon with black pack will make it look more stealthy.

I'd probably go for them at £475.

Monsoon was my first choice but couldn't have it with sub 8 for some reason. It was then between ice silver and the dynamic grey. I had a cupra 280 on test drive for a few hours in dynamic grey. It was overcast that day and it just looked plain white to me which I don't like. It looks great in the sunshine though, an icy pearlesent greedy blue. I did actually spec dynamic grey but changed my mind a few weeks later and got them to change the build to ice silver which I'm really happy with.

I'm confirming my order tomorrow - finance is all accepted. I expect mine wouldn't be delivered until the new 66 plates come out in September. It's going to be a long wait until then!!!

Just had an email from the lease company. Car has been prepped ready for me. Just need two send copies of my licence and sign a few docs for VAG finance.

Any ideas how they deliver? Don't want it driven half way across the country, I'll need new tires and the mileage will be up...

I had all my docs signed last week but car has only just got into the UK!!

I think delivery depends on lease company.. Some use transporters.. Others use drivers in the car followed by another vehicle.

Which lease company you using?

Which deal did you get for the 290 from CVL?

Yeah got told mine missed a shipping slot so ended up being a few days late which is why they done the docs etc.. Should be at the dealer this week then they'll pdi it ready for delivery

168 a month. I thought about cancelling and getting one of the new deals on the black edition , but don't want to wait another 12 weeks to get the car.

Was the best deal around at the time, so I'm not too fussed.
