Where can I get door pillar black vinyl and where has this come from?

Hi, I need to get the top of the drivers door repainted - long story for another day and would like to get replacement black vinyl for the door pillar does anyone know where you can it from?

Also while looking to try and stop the monsoon inside the car when it rains, looking in the engine bay saw this just sitting in the engine bay. Any idea what it is and where it lives?

Think you might have to go to dealers or TPS for the correct black coverings, however, there are a lot of the 3M stick on coverings (Matt or carbon fibre look) on eBay.
As for the plug, that looks like the one from on top of the gearbox - inspection plug.

Thanks BruceR I'll look om ebay as I'm sure the real thing will cost more than the car's worth and I'll check the gearbox inspection plug
