New Photos!

Well, not really new photos as such, took them a few weeks ago but just forgot about them! lol.

This last photo is just my sidelights on, no headlights!!!
Still very impressed with those leds, brightest I've ever used!
But definitely need to look into getting some white fog lights to match my bright white led sidelights & headlight bulbs!

Chrome Indicators

Done another one of my fantastic cheap mods again :funk:

Replaced the indicators in the front and rear of the car to chrome ones. It now looks a million times better now there isn't a splodge of orange ruining the nice clear look of the lights!

May help to click on the photos to enlarge them to see difference properly!

It's a very subtle difference, but it's been bugging me for ages and I much prefer it now :D

LED Interior Lights

Got myself some bright white LED interior lights. And believe me, 'bright' is an understatement if I ever heard one!!!

No before photos unfortunately, but here's the after photos:

Did you go for the Silvatec bulbs or something else?

I went for cheap as chips chrome ones from ebay :p

Much better quality than I thought they'd be though, and the guy was cool when I ordered the wrong size  and replaced them without any hassle!

Here's what I got:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHROME-SILVER...s_SM?hash=item19b5f72726&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Also worked out cheaper with this guy because I wanted two pairs of bulbs, he didn't charge extra for any additional items, so postage was cheap too!

Wax & Rain

Gave my car a good wax this morning... then guess what... it rained [:@]!!!

It did look good though after it had rained with the sun gleaming off all the drops of water still on the roof...

Rain after a wax/polish isn't always bad... good way to see how good of a job you've done. Check out the beading effect. The more 'symmetrical' the beading the better the paint works condition, or so I am told...

It's not the rain on the car that annoys me, more that the roads r now muddy and I've just washed it! lol

My beading looks pretty symmetrical to me, lol, must have done a good job then [B)]

More LED Lights!

I've now almost finished my interior LED light upgrade :D

I have LEDs in the front roof, and in all the doors. Just having a bit of trouble removing the rear roof lights housing at the moment to replace them!

Huge Clean!

I gave my car a proper good clean! This is what I did:

  1. Rinse car with hose
  2. Wash with very soapy TurtleWax Wash n Wax shampoo
  3. Rinse again
  4. While still wet clay car everywhere
  5. Dry off with microfibre
  6. Clean paint with Dodo Lime Juice
  7. Apply paint sealant
  8. Apply Autoglym super resin wax
  9. Step back and :D :funk:

I got the paint sealant from ebay for £5, the same stuff was on BMW website for £300 (including labour cost)!!! All in all I'm extremely impressed with the mirror effect that paint sealant gives. I just hope the shine lasts like it promises. As the reason for the big clean is because I don't get chance to ever wax the car at uni, so am hoping the paint sealant will help it looking nice and shiny [B)]
