Did you check that the spark plugs were gapped properly ?

jaydr128 Guest Apr 7, 2010 #23 i had a similar problem with my cupra 8v it would get to 4500 rpm and when i shift gear it would hesitate for a second or two. it turned out to be the dizzy cap and rotor arm needed cleaning off, bit of sandpaper put it right and after that all was well. hope this helps cheers jay
