Unplugged my MAF 2 days ago due to it causing the odd missfire. When i started the car this morning i also got the 3 beeps and red light on th dash. Could this be related to the MAF being unplugged at all? As i've checked fluid levels. Vagcom shows.....

1. MAF Signal too low (expected as MAF is unplugged)

2. ADDRESS 03: ABS BRAKES
1 FAULT FOUND:
01314 - ENGINE CONTROL MODULE
79-00 - PLEASE CHECK FAULT CODES

Could the 2nd code also be MAF related?

I've also noticed the car taking longer than usual to reach 90°, maybe its due to the colder weather i dont know. Would the coolant temp sensor throw a code or flashly lights ect?

Coolant sensor for sure. Take a screw driver to the two prongs in the header tank to scrape the crap off them.

You got a green top coolant sensor?

Ok mate i'll try that. My coolant sensor is a green top yeah, but its been on the car since ive owned it (so at least 2 years) and its got quite a bit of crusty corroded coolant mess dribbling out of it. Maybe worth changing?

this happened on mine i just topped up with anti freeze and left the car running for 10 mins and it was fine then

Will give the header tank sensor a clean at work tomorrow. How can you tell if the other coolant sensor is working properly?
