Use TPS all the time. And I'm not in the trade... :D

Can get those bonnet rubbers from the dealer (or TPS) Adam, one of mine was missing when I got the car. I'll try and dig out a part number for you.

Really hope you get somewhere with this Aimez, my car has some rust on the sill which I'm not pleased about, although it obviously isn't as bad as your wing.

Continuing on from a couple of pages back (seeing the dealer again about the rust is on hold until I get some holiday authorised at work) of the upper interior stripped this was the result

As I have said not happy with it was impossible to get the material in the dips for the grab handles and I had to put creases by the C pillars to get the material to fit. I am going to leave it in for a while as firstly it took a long time and I cba to change it and also thinking I may spray the layer I peeled off black and stick it back on but not sure.

You never heard of Trade Parts Specialist VW Seat Skoda Audi genuine parts?!

i use tps every day near enough and they are all genuine parts as basically what vw did was take the trade business out of the dealer network and then have its trade parts dealer network

my brother when he had his golf had done a similar thing, got a fabricator to put black swede on the roof but after a while it started to droop and was kinda loose. looked ok but nothing like a standard black one.good job though. for trying

nah just order them from dealer have to wait a while for some bits got mine from a guy I met at meets over the years who work in Seat parts dept so got them cheaper thou.

Okay so anyone following this particularly mk4 owners 2 weeks ago went back to Seat to see the guy who submits warranty claims he gave nothing away took pics was very nice unlike my local dealer who just wanted rid of me!

He just called to say they are going to pay for the repair :-o and more than likely a new wing!! I am shocked but very pleased, only downside is no courtesy car but I can walk to work so not the end of the world.

So booked in for 4th Jan when I get it back gonna then organise another body shop (Seat prices a tad overkill from the quote they gave of over £500 for fit and spray new wing!) to spray cupra spoiler I got from Dave from Sere and also maybe repair some other very minor but annoys me damage oh and the bonnet is screaming for respray so doing that too.

wow i was never expecting seat to pay for your corrosion i am impressed,i bet your well happy you put the effort in to get it sorted for free.

I had little hope tbh I started thinking it may well happen though as the guy said should only really take a week and taken 2 weeks which made me think must be having chats about it.

Am so relieved I do not have to for out for this as have saved alot of money up for other things like the bonnet!
