Whiteline ARB finally fitted on Monday can defiently feel the difference am pleased I fitted it myself was easy when I had the right U bolts and nuts.

Got me wheel back today from repairers all good as new, same tyre will keep fingers crossed it doesn't go flat will keep an eye on it. Not going back on until tomorrow (little apprentice boy at work will fit it!) so will be torqued up properly.

Then came home for lunch and my Milltek from Awesome arrived but not sure it is the right one for a facelift rear bumper anyone confirm, knight85 , Altech? it says ibiza cupra on paperwork? As had such bad luck lately I am a little paranoid and I want to take it to a local garage who are official Milltek sellers to get them to fit it. The longest side of the tip is 10.5cm

That looks like the correct one. Is it a true oval? If it is then it is for the facelift bumper. Its the special oval thats for the pre-facelift

I was looking a them pics actually the other one is not slanted both sides of the tip the same length which is the wrong one right? Whereas mine is longer on the right than on the left?

I have had such bad luck with the car I was convinced this was wrong!

Hopefully the garage your going to take it to are ok Aimee. I know what you mean about parts paranoia and things not fitting. Seems that cross matching parts is half the fun of modding, especially when you find something new that fits that no-one else has tried. Just makes the finding out a lottery really. The Milltek looks right though :D fingers crossed its all good for sunday :D

Thanks Sarah I was soooo paranoid as still having bad luck with my car today!

Other update, am fuming as after being told I need a tyre then being told I don't and had been checked. One of the boys fitted my repaired wheel and the tyre was flat and when we put air in the most obvious leak of all time was there, yeh right they checked it! They can't source my slightly unusual Good Year Eagle F1s so I have had to order one again from camskill.com and they are going to collect my wheel and fit the tyre. Wish I could get more out of them for a second inconvenece that was easily avoidable but can't!

So now have to wait to fit my Milltek as had to fork out £70 for the window, £80 for wheel and £100 for tyre[:@]

Am I cursed!?

No you are not. Try not having your car for 2 months (like I did last year)
It will be well worth it in the end my friend.

The only thing with higher profile on 17's is that you're going to get scuffage if you go too higher profile, and I'll knock your speedo out a bit more! Plus - too bigger profile will make it look like a tractor!

would 45 scuff you think oh dear? Everyone keeps saying if you didn't have them low profile tyres on you probably wouldn't have damaged the wheel. If the council didn't leave craters in the road I wouldn't have and why should I have to have different tyres just cos out roads are shite?!:ban:

45's wouldnt scuff at standard right height I'd have thought.

At the end of the day, we pay road TAX which is meant to go to repairing the roads we drive on! Instead it goes in the governments pockets and nowhere near the roads! The council should cover the costs of your damage.
