I've never dismantled any of mine :)

All I do is.....use spray grease on the threads when first fitted then maybe 2-3 times a year when I have the wheels off I just remove the grease with a cleaner [something like a engine cleaner] then re grease them [just the threaded body]

I personally can't see why you'd need to clean them every month unless your constantly adjusting the ride hight.......but in my experiance you just leave it set at one hight unless your doing track days etc.

Or you could just buy shocks and springs and have even less hassle :D

Hmm well a guy on an old thread told me I need to and put me off and no seemed to disagree with him when I said how shocked I was.
Thanks guys you have really helped as usual! Love this forum!
Okay think I am convinced, do not think I can fit them myself would like to try, I will see if anyone can help with the offer of free dinner!

Righto need to decide what to do before ED38 now then, not sure I can stretch to this before then.
MOT next month so will see how that goes first.....

Rear's are easy to fit but you might strugle wuth the fronts. But I'm sure you could get some help from a forum member. If not you will prob get a garage to fit them for £50-60 as its only a 30-45min job for a garage.

Have you thought about a shocks and springs kit?

Just thinking it would be less looking after and there generally not as bumpy/harsh ride as coilovers....and usually cheaper to.

Guess it depends if you want height adjustment and not a fixed height.

The mk4 on springs is a waste of money it basically lowers a few mm and looks the same the rear is so high! Everyone that has done it has ended up with lots of  in their threads and getting coilovers in the end lol!

Ahh ok....might as well just get coilovers to start with then.

I'm sure there must be some local people on here to give you a hand :)

I heard it cost about £70 fro 4 wheel alignment, then read lots of thread with people arguing that 4 wheel alignment can be done on the ibiza if the person knows what they are doing, is this bollocks? Have all you guys with coils just gone for 2 with no issues?

Because the rear is a beam arrangement, there isn't any adjustments you can make... You can modify it by fitting lowering springs or coilovers, rear ARB and spacers! But we all know that already.

when i fitted mine i took it for a full alignment and was told that there was no adjustments they could make on the rear but they done a print out showing how much camber etc there was on the rear

Bolt covers look smart. I bought a set for mine but the cover for the locking wheel bolt wouldn't fit :(

Did the number plate surround fit on the rear bumper?

Wheel bolt covers make such a difference, just finishes the wheels off. Looks much nicer :) I lost 4 of my covers somehow, so I've only got enough for 2 complete wheels lol. The other 2 wheels are just uncovered bolts now :(

you have to get different ones for the locking wheel nuts.
No surrounds do not fit but the plates have a black border around them so think they look good on there own anyway.

Still not happy with the rear number plates spoiler paint I am getting to picky I think!

There's specific shaped covers for the locking bolts. I think thats how I lost a few... I didn't realise until just the other week that there was a difference so I must've put a locking cover on a normal bolt and it just flew off whilst driving!
