ok guys so i know i've not don an update in ages, the reason i havnt been able to is i have been REALLY busy with Uni, got dissertation up my ass! anyway i finished the car quite a while ago but did not want to put it on the road because i had a few other ideas i wanted to throw at it.

This is the car only washed not yet flattened and not polished!

the car has been flattened in the last two pics above and only first stage of polish has been done 2 more stages remain, will wait fot the weather to clear up then i'll get that done too.

these pics do not really do the car justice as they have all been taken from my phone but once the weather is better i will polish it up and take more pics to show the real colour, also under the hood too.

hope you guys liked the build, its not going to end here, still loads of work to do with the head and playing with the map to get it perfect. so will keep you guys posted, comments welcome...

Awesome workmanship there, I bet it's a pretty interesting drive.

cheers man, took a lot of patience more than anything else...and handling wise its awesome...still need to tweak it to get the engine running perfect.

You still considering selling these manifold/turbo/downpipe setups? I'll be first in the que if you are!

well i could supply the turbo with manifold and a flange to weld the downpipe onto yes...in terms of price i think i would be able to do the complete set up (inc converting the electrical actuator to vacum, installing a stop screw and poviding a used actuator for it to work) for under £1k bearing in mind that a cupra turbo alone new costs near enough the same...

Well done for getting there!

I'd be interested in the pricing of these.

did you manage to source one then, im sorry i did not get back to you in time i missed your post, are you needing any info??

I found several contacts from TDIClub and all gave me a price etc...I had to put things on hold because 1 colt cams couldnt get a stage 2 cam to me any time soon and then I had several issues with pipework (150PD intercooler although pretty efficient has plastic fittings). Forge are going to develop intercooler kit for the car with my existing pipework (hopefully) which should fix the pipe popping issues. I also got a full 3" turbo back exhaust done recently ready for the 2260vk.

I am guessing its a cast manifold from an another TDI that flows better than the 150PD one for simple fitting?

Definately interested mate if you dont mind me emailing you after xmas?
