I have a spare can of matt black paint. I had rubbed one alloy down and sprayed primer on it, so this morning i sprayed it and will up load a pic later to see what it looks like. Im still not 100% sure on the colour

Gun metal dude,
I was going to spray mine black however after seeing that it makes the alloy look like one from a fiesta...

Just to protect it a bit more really and bring out the shine if that's the sort of finish your after.

Hycote stuff should do the trick. ;)

Thanks, picked some lacquer up at the weekend so i will see what it looks like on my spare when i get a good day.

Gunmetal or Anthracite is the colour you need! Pop into your local bodyshop and ask for a colour swatch - usually a small charge to borrow it but you get a choice of colours in all its shine! :)

Thanks, antheracite is really popular around here every one seems to have that colour. I will see if the people who repair our works vans have one and see if i can pinch it for a few days

Matte black is my choice....

I do like the colour, it looks really good on your car and suits your alloys

ford polaris grey :p

Thanks i will have a good check of all the colours.

Im going to keep experimenting with different colours and see what i get, i might spray these matt black for the winter and get a new set for summer or refurb these again
