yep another one for the boards, as my cars in the garage needing a new gearbox (i'm unlucky) i'm gonna get my boost problem sorted, just hoping its nothing expensive.
My car is only boosting to about 5 and feels pretty damn slow now. I got someone who knows something about cars to have a look, they found a wire, which looks like a earth wire going to what they called 'the boost control' loose, they said they're 99% sure that this is the problem.
Can you guy back this up, if you understand. excuse my ignorance.

Cheers

5psi is limp mode, best to vag com it get errorcodes, that most prob be the problem.boost control be n75 valve

Dodgy MAF, you need to get the fault codes read, and the MAF logged, but it sounds like something is putting the car into limp mode. So reading errors should diagnose this for you.

So you think i'll have nothing to do with a disconnected wire that is going in the boost control?
What is/does the MFA do? and whould it be expensive to replace?

cheers

is it a disconnected wire going into your n75 valve?

If so I'd say that's your problem!
