hi guys ive had my oil pressure gauge now for about 8 months ive done a search and didnt come up with much apart from one showing how to do it but it isnt same engine . do i have to buy a sandwich plate ect and screw into there . i need this done as im going hybrid and woul want to keep an eye on pressure can anyone shed some light please will be a great help many thanks

depending what sender unit you have, they usually just screw into one of the spaces around the top of the oil filter...
i had a blank on mine and so just unscrewed it and screwed the sender unit in...

i did however have to tap the hole out to a 1/8 NPT thread before screwing it in
 
so i wont need sandwich plate mate . you got pics of where i screw it in to many thanks
 
not the most ideal photo but you can see where they would go, where circled...
the one furthest right is on a T-piece which you can always get if you dont have a space with an unused sensor in...

what engine is it that you have...

more than likely the thread in the engine will be an m10 x 1mm thread

depending on what sender unit you get you may need to buy an adapter piece, to convert the thread match, or buy a tap, and tap the hole out to whatever thread you need
 
1.8 20v t engine code ayp i hope i dont have to tap as i no im no good at threads lol:D
i leave that to my brother inlaw as hes the electrician and mechanic lol
