erm i got them from a bargin bin at 10of the best a few years back,im sure there was a code on box and the springs!ill have a look tommorow as im havin to strip it down as the clutch has gone today.
defanatly know they were listed as GTI/TDI because i queried the differance in weights, with the GTI been heavier at the front and vario been heavier at the rear,im just going out again so ill messure from the centers for you

Yea I did lower it..... was on FK Highsport Coilovers but they wrecked my arches and the collies are now rusted and I can't adjust them. Thats what I've gone for Koni's and all this trouble, swapped my collies for a brand new rear window hehe

Panels are sorted got everything from the Dealer, new wings, bonnet, slam panel, all the lights, arch lining, splitter, all the umper trims. Just Want to get the new suspension on before it goes into the bodyshop so I wouldn't wreck my new arches and fit new brakes all round.

I had these parts before xmas....... got a spare bedroom full of parts and half of my room lol. I just had enough of collies full stop really and I wanted some adjustable dampering because the car can be a bit too arse end happy in the wet witht he cage, arb etc.... so being able to make things hard or soft will give me something to play about with!

Lol @ that stance.

Thats it! I'm keeping you c spanners :p

Right need to double check one thing. On Larkspeed web site I found Spax springs that will lower 60mm all around (misus 15mm = 45mm for my car) BUT shows the years 93 to 95.

Above that they show 60/40mm drop for 93-99. As far as I know the suspension from the 95 is the same as the 98for example?? Am i right there?

There's a very old PPC article with Glyn's mk2 on Koni kit, another member's mk2 on Bilstein kit and a mk3 Cupra (in red?). As you've foubd out Koni kit doesn't lower as much as most others. Why not get the fully adjustable Koni set up?

Have been thinkin about it but I didn't fancy spending £1000 on the kit, spent more than enough getting bits and the cost of the respray are gonna cos a few grand now.

Plus if it lowered 40mm like it said to would then this thread would have near started..... I would be more than happy wiv that drop but the way it is now is just stupid! lol
