thing is on the ibiza rear wings the inner and outer arch are joined in the lip area, but unlike other cars which have a distinct step on the spot welded join which sticks out and can easily be ground back, these are flush to each other in a flatter more rolled edge. grinding this could be done yes, but there's not much material there and if you went just a little too far you detatch the inner from outer.

I have close personal experience of this after modding my arches dramatically

What do you suggest i do then?

Arch extensions like your's are out of the question for me tbh...

There must be someone who has come across this problem before!!!

I have run 7.5 x 16 ET35 rims on 215-40-16 tyres lowered 50mm without rubbing with +15mm spacers @ rear with no rear mods.

I posted the arch mods as what I have done on my racecar to accomodate 8x17 ET28 rims with +25mm spacers per side @ rear.

What spec wheels/tyres do you have?
Where on the arch does it rub? leading edge? top?

Hmmm... Well, i have 7.5 x 16 ET38 with 15mm spacers... and 195/45/16 tyres.

It rubs on the lip bit of the arch if that makes sense...

Sort of here on the pic, but a bit further north so to say... This is the part it seems to rub on when low...

(Sorry for the pic, only one i have showing a slight bit of arch to annotate!)

i had to reduce my spacers from 15mm to 10mm that gave me just enough clearance but thats because my wheels are 17x7 et 40

Arches didnt need to be rolled in the first place. I ran 17x7.5 ET15 on the back with a 195/40 tyre. Tyre size was perfect. I'm now running 17x9.5 et 13 wth 215/35 and also no rubbing :D
