Looking good as usual. :)

How easy did the solvent stuff get that crap off the chasis leg? Mine is still caked with stuff especially on the passenger side and i want it all gone asap!

I have heard of that stuff, let us know how it performs as my stuff is running low and im not sure our suppliers still sell the stuff.

I cleaned as much as i could with the passenger side headlight out but under and around the battery looked a right state!

 liking this!!!

love the matt black thing you got going on!;)
the new rear contrasting spoiler looks good also, surprisingly a lot better than colour coded!

Re: engine bay;
just looking at the red silicone hose which connects the air filter to the maf to the TIP, would changing all hoses to red be to much? and expected???
what about all black;) and keeping the polished / chrome parts

Cheers mate, All my inspiration and ideas have come from this site, its great how you can steal peoples different ideas mix and match then and still have a unique car.

Cheers, you maybe on to somthing there but im thinking of keeping abit of red just to add abit of colour, i think once the battery is moved to the boot and the new catch tank with braided lines turns up it should be looking abit better.

I think im going to do my forge strut caps black and paint the dimples red and keep the brace chrome. hmm ideas ideas

Not sure if you remember the car at the RR day at bradleys near Oxford?, back when she only had coilovers and a polished inlet

Cellulose thinners was rubbish at cleaning my gearbox up. lol.

Next.

I can recomend "Wurth-Brake cleaner", I guess you could use another brand aswell, but be a bit carefull at first, this is heavy stuff!!! Only needed 2 pints after working with this stuff to make my head spin:) Did also make my miltek look like brand new.

yeah i remember! :D your car looked mint then![B)]
IIRC, your wheels were silver then ......... and you had recently spent an age with a sander and then wet 'n dry to polish your inlet manifold!!! the time on that must have been an age!

Indeed they where silver, hadnt really touched it much cosmetically back then was more a power fiend (still am!)

The inlet took me about 3hrs back then and i still give it a good polish now to try and enhance it that bit more.

Just orderd the smallest catch tank i could find off the bay along with braided lines and hose finishers which i will spray matt black, should look alot better than the ugly shaped tank and big blue pipes i have now, i hope!

liking the LCR splitter. I was thinking of de-texturing mine, along with the bump strips and possibly spray gloss black. I usuall say Matt black, but think that thats ok for inside, like a bit of shine outside

Eventually, I want smooth bumpers :D

I had gloss black before looked pretty good also, out of the two i think i do actully prefere the matt black, looks more OEM.

New catch tank and braided lines ordered yesterday - strut caps going balck tonight with red inserts to the dimples.

Pics to follow.

I wasnt going to update the thread with whats been going on with the engine bay, but im a little unsure on what to do next ready for the BIG meet.

The engine bay is pretty much done now apart from fitting my alloy elbow to the TIP when it arrives, but im a little unsure what to do about the battery idealy id really like to relocate it but even after reading the threads on here im still a little unsure exactly what i need and how to do it.

So what do you guys think?

A) get my arse in gear and get my head around it and try and re-locate it.
B) leave it as is as its already black.
C) Clean up the alloy cover and use that instead.

Just a small before so you can see the transformation.

As you can see it needs a really good clean, but other than that expose your opinions [B)]
