looking at the hose kit you have bought (the same one i'm looking to buy for my fmic) there are no beads on the ends of the alloy pipes. You can use metal epoxy or similar to create a bead for the silicon to grab when clamped, this should stop them blowing off :)

yeah, i think the reasons for having no bead is that if you have to cut or modify them to get them to fit each car as they are universal, I was thinking of gettin a bead welded on. But as they are alloy they can be tricky to find someone who will weld alloy as thin as these are :)

Baz RobDon has used some sort of glue/epoxy to make a bead, this saves welding etc

Small update. The turbo's nearly off if the rain would stay off long enough to give me a chance lol. New pipework came so lookin at other routing options. Nearly finished one side, still got the TB side with the MAP sensor pipe and DV cold air relocation side to do. Moved my guages down to the centre console leavin space for the important ones up at the a pillar, A/F and oil temp. :)

Aint tried the bumper on yet so mabey need a bit more tweekin for the fog lights to fit past.

What size silicone you looking for?
I've got a couple of little bits (black) in the shed

The pipeworks 2.5" But still need bits for the DV and my MBC this time round, or mabey goin the EBC route so its adjustabe in the car. Think thats where my biggest downfall was, relyed too much on the N75. Been buyin individual pps off ebay at about £15 each at the mo. 4 - 3 ply and they were holdin no probs (witht he anvil attacked pipes) aint tried them on a non flanged pipe to see if they slide off :D

Still, i havent been put off cuz usually after a car goes poof i sort it and sell it. :D

Why do you keep going for different coloured hoses!? or are these just ones you have "acquired"? Starting to have suspicions to where all that stuff came from in the boot of your car! Is it even your car!? :p

What's the turbo coming off for? I thought you had your new one on already?

Im goin for a patchwork quilt theme lol, nah its just what ebay had at the time, colour dont bother me as long as they were silicone and 3-4 ply and the right angle. Only 2 that really need to match are at the intercooler lol.
And well we had a little accident with the turbo. Its comin off again to get sent away to get fixed lol. Blew the seals and its pissin out oil
Had 3 weeks of fun with it though
